Join SNIWWOC for an evening discussing Maternal Health.

About this Event

With gratitude during Black History month, we wanted to acknowledge and discuss maternal healthcare and give space to our SNIWWOC community for an informative evening with local health professionals. Open to everyone.

During our open conversation we will discuss topics including:

-What culturally sensitive and accessible community support programs does Victoria offer?

-What is Midwifery Care?

-How midwives assist in areas Doctor’s don’t.

– Q & A with a Midwife.

– What is the role of a Doula, and what exactly do they do during delivery?

– Q & A with a Doula.

– Ask a Doctor of Chinese Medicine how they can prepare you for delivery, prenatal & postpartum. What natural treatments are available in Victoria for moms & newborns and what health concerns can be assisted naturally?

– Q & A with an professional with over 20 years experience in Prenatal Healthcare.

We warmly welcome you to join us in this Community Conversation on Maternal Healthcare. We will begin with a vegetarian dinner provided by SNIWWOC just before our Healthcare Professionals lead our conversations.
